In an article released by the Ministry of Energy, the new renenwable energy plant (Operated by Canadian Solar) will create 200 manufacturing and R&D jobs as a result of support from Ontario.

The renewable facility will manufacture solar panels for large scale solar farms and medium voltage power stations. The solar panels from the facility will be used at the Grand Renewable Solar (GRS) project in Haldimand County.
