North American Trade Schools is launching a ground breaking new program aimed at training individuals for a career within the expanding Solar Energy field. The Solar Energy Technician program will begin their inaugural class on January 27th at both the London and Brampton campus.

Students of the program will receive hands-on training in both the Solar Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal fields. As part of this program, students will have the opportunity to earn their North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Entry Level Solar Certification.

“Students can graduate in as little as 6 months and be among some of the first Certified Solar Technicians”

“As the renewable energy industry expands, the demand for skilled and certified technicians is growing exponentially. We are providing a program which will provide skilled and quality trained workers for the growing field. Students can graduate in as little as 6 months and be among some of the first Certified Solar Technicians” says Ryan Alary (Campus Director, London Campus).

After graduation, students will expect to find job opportunities in a number of locations. Occupational titles include Solar Technician, Solar Installer, Energy Consultant, Solar Project Coordinator, Mechanical Installer, Solar Plant Operator and many others.
