Brampton – Ontario Progressive Conservative (PC) Party leader Tim Hudak visited the Medix College and North American Trade Schools hybrid campus in Brampton Ontario as part of a showcase event hosted by Career Colleges Ontario (CCO). Tim Hudak began by taking a tour of the Medix College and North American Trade School campus and visited with students and instructors. The event was part of a continuing effort by CCO to increase awareness of the career colleges sector across the province.

As part of the reception, Tim Hudak gave a speech addressing the crowd regarding the Progressive Conservative (PC) Party vision of giving good people, good jobs. He thanked the career colleges for their work in training and educating people within the province.

"Career colleges have been ahead of the curve for so long because you are connected to the marketplace, you know what the demand is, you know what the jobs are..." - Tim Hudak

He outlined his Million Jobs Plan and expects 200,000 of those to be in the skilled trades alone. He talked about the demand for these trade positions that cannot be filled by employers. He wants Career Colleges to play a bigger role in his job creation plan because a majority of the jobs will be filled with Career College graduates.
